Orange Sorbet d’Au Septième Délice

As summer is slowly rolling around, why not start by preparing yourself mentally. Here is au septième délice’s recipe for a delicious and simple sorbet.

Orange Sorbet
Servings: 4
  • 500 ml orange juice
  • 150 ml lemon juice
  • 150 g sugar
  • large orange zest
  • 2 shots of vodka
  1. Before using the machine, place the bowl in the freezer for at least 16 hours or up to 1 day before making the sorbet.

  2. Mix together the orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, and orange zest and warm them in a pot on medium-heat. Keep mixing until the sugar is diluted. Remove the pot from the heat and put aside to cool.
  3. When the mixture is ready, take the bowl out and place it in the machine as indicated on the instructions. Add in the mixture and start the machine. It should take about 30-40 minutes before it crystallizes. Once it is ready, add 2 shots of vodka and let it mix for 30 more seconds.

For the toppings, I really like orange and chocolate as a mix! So, I suggest you add chocolate crumble and oranges wedges!

That’s it, it’s that easy!

Salud and bon appétit.
