Is there anything more satisfying and as indulgent as a potato gratin? This recipe for Jarlsberg Potato Gratin is as comforting as a hug and sure to be a crowd favourite for any occasion. Here is how to make it:

Ingredients:
6 potatoes, peeled
1 onion, peeled
125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
3/4 cup (180 ml) milk
A pinch of ground nutmeg
170 g (6 oz.) Grated Jarlsberg cheese or a firm cheese
1 ml (1/4 teaspoon) paprika
Salt and pepper
Preparation:
Place the grill at the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C (375 ° F).
Slice the potatoes and onion 1/8 inch (3 mm) with a mandolin.
In a pot, heat the cream with the milk, nutmeg Add the potatoes and onion and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat. Salt and pepper.

Pour in the potatoes and cover with Jarlsberg cheese, sprinkle with paprika on top.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the gratin is golden brown.
