<p>There’s nothing quite as comforting as a warm bowl of pasta after a long day at work, especially if you can make a delightfully tasty recipe in practically no time—and with almost no dishes to do after!</p>

<p>This one-pot wonder is ready in 20 minutes and will become a fast favourite of the entire family.</p>

<p>Here’s how to make it:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7693" srcset="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-300x200.jpg 300w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-768x512.jpg 768w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-800x533.jpg 800w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/shutterstock_2030789822-1000x667.jpg 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p><strong><em>Ingredients:</em></strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>1 tbsp unsalted butter</li><li>1 small diced shallot</li><li>5 cloves minced garlic</li><li>2 tsp crushed red pepper, more or less to taste</li><li>16 oz uncooked rigatoni pasta</li><li>4 cup low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth</li><li>20 oz <a href="https://www.terramarimports.com/products/marinara-cherry-tomato-pasta-sauce?_pos=4&amp;_sid=ba196ef32&amp;_ss=r&amp;sca_ref=1145774.pnVgNbg2yK">good quality marinara sauce</a></li><li>1 tsp kosher salt, more or less to taste</li><li>3/4 cup heavy cream</li><li>1/2 cup parmesan cheese shavings</li><li>1 cup cooked green peas</li></ul>

<p><strong><em>Preparation:</em></strong></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Place the butter in a<a href="https://www.stokesstores.com/en/remy-olivier-breton-red-cast-iron-casserole-1-8-l.html"> pot</a> or dutch oven over medium-high heat. As the butter is melting, add the shallots and garlic to the pan.<br></li><li>Sprinkle in the red chili flakes and mix together. Allow the shallots and garlic to soften in the pan by cooking for 1-2 minutes. Be sure to mix often so that the garlic and shallots don’t stick to the pan or burn.<br></li><li>Add the uncooked pasta to the hot pan, followed by the marinara sauce, broth, and salt. Mix it all together and bring it up to a soft boil to cook the pasta. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low for about 12-13 minutes.<br></li><li>When the rigatoni is perfectly cooked, add in heavy cream, peas, and parmesan. Mix over medium heat until the sauce comes together. Garnish with fresh herbs and a sprinkle of parmesan and you’re ready to serve! </li></ul>

<p>Who really likes to clean up? A quick scrub job after a meal can make all the difference and the convenient one pot, pan, casserole or dish recipe trend promises just that! Here to help you with all your meals, this culinary movement stems from the growing online community of food bloggers who use their everyday life experiences as inspiration for creating recipes with their followers’ convenience in mind. From soups, stews, pastas, and casseroles, this approach to meal time and recipe development reflects a societal change where households that have a full time stay-at-home member are becoming increasingly rare. Put simply: For most of us, the average time-slot we had for cooking and cleaning has gotten a lot slimmer. However, thanks to helpful trends like this, it doesn’t mean our taste buds have to suffer!</p>
<p>That’s where Jenny, the recipe developer, photographer, and stylist, behind <a href="https://www.instagram.com/forevermunchies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><u>@forevermunchies</u></a>, steps in. She creates an Asian Fusion inspired one pot meal that is sure to satisfy your fall comfort food cravings and, better yet, won’t trouble your intolerance to washing up! Her warming sweet potato and carrot miso soup is jam-packed with seasonal produce and delicious flavours like ginger and garlic. Plus, we promised you not only one recipe but a meal. Included in this one pot feature is a recipe for no-knead bread that you can bake in the same pot and it’s the perfect companion for the miso soup. Just remember: these recipes are quick to prepare but the dough for the bread needs 12 to 20 hours to rise. Combine the dough’s ingredients the night before so that it will be hot and ready to enjoy alongside your soup!</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4689" src="http://blog.blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404.jpg" alt="" width="1306" height="980" srcset="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404.jpg 1306w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404-300x225.jpg 300w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404-768x576.jpg 768w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404-800x600.jpg 800w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_7404-1000x750.jpg 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 1306px) 100vw, 1306px" /></p>
<p>Make note: For this recipe you need a pot or casserole that is stove-top safe, deep (for the soup), but also oven safe (for the no-knead bread). Jenny used the <a href="https://www.blog.stokesstores.com/en/remy-olivier-casserole-5l.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Remy Olivier 5L Casserole</a>, which is designed specifically to heat your food evenly and is oven safe up to 400°F. Made of cast iron, it’s perfect for soups, roasts, stews, casseroles and more. Even though time isn’t always on your side, we are, and with our tips and Jenny’s help, you’ll be able to make a scrumptious meal in no time, all in one dish!</p>
<p>Ready to make a meal that has a whole lot flavour and little clean up?</p>
