<p>As soon as there’s a bit of a chill in the air, and snowflakes start to fall, it’s time for warm, festive drinks. Whether that’s peppermint hot chocolates, eggnog, or in today’s recipe, mulled wine, we all find fun and delicious ways to stay warm!<br><br>The warm spices flavour the wine throughout and makes for the most comforting, tasty drink to sip on during the Holidays.</p>



<p>Here’s how to make it:</p>

<p><strong><em>Ingredients:</em></strong><br><strong><em><br></em></strong>2 (750-mL) bottles full-bodied dry red wine </p>



<p>½ cup black peppercorns</p>



<p>⅓ cup granulated sugar</p>



<p>4 orange peel strips&nbsp;</p>



<p>1 piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced</p>



<p>1 cinnamon stick, plus more for garnish</p>



<p>1 whole star anise</p>



<p>Orange slices</p>



<p><strong><em>Preparation:<br></em></strong>Stir together wine, peppercorns, sugar, orange peel, ginger, cinnamon stick, and star anise in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over high. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Strain and discard the solids. Pour evenly into your glasses to serve and garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks. Enjoy your hot cup of mulled wine!</p>
