<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>1 medium loaf of day-old challah bread</li><li>5 eggs</li><li>1 1/4 cup whole milk</li><li>2 tsp <a href="https://amzn.to/3iWH3wa">vanilla extract</a></li><li>5 tbsp butter, softened to room temperature</li><li>1 cup organic cane sugar</li><li>3 tsp cinnamon</li><li>1/2 tsp nutmeg</li></ul>

<p><strong><em>Preparation:</em></strong></p>

<ol class="wp-block-list"><li>In a large mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Whisk until combined.<br></li><li>In a small plate, add sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix.<br></li><li>Slice challah bread into 1-inch slices. Butter each side with a thin layer of butter, approx. 1/2 tbsp butter for each slice.<br></li><li>Dip both sides of each slice of bread into the cinnamon sugar. <p>This recipe is in honour of July 14th being Bastille Day, or the National Day of France! Whether you’ve enjoyed a decadent cup of hot chocolate at Angelina’s in Paris or spent hours walking around the picturesque Aix-En-Provence in the south of France, or even if you’ve never been to France at all, this recipe is a wonderfully delicious way to celebrate! <br>The quintessential French pastry, renowned around the world, has got to be the croissant. Here we take a croissant and see how creative we can get!  We’re making a croissant french toast bake, with tons and tons of raspberries! Trust us, it tastes as beautiful as it looks and sounds!</p>

<p>Here is how to make it:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-683x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7304" srcset="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-200x300.jpg 200w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-800x1200.jpg 800w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-1000x1500.jpg 1000w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0187-scaled.jpg 1707w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>

<p><strong><em>Ingredients:</em></strong></p>

<p>1/4 cup honey</p>

<p>1 teaspoon vanilla extract</p>

<p>1/2 teaspoon kosher salt</p>

<p>1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar</p>

<p><strong><em>Preparation:</em></strong></p>

<ol class="wp-block-list"><li>Lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray. Place half of the croissants evenly into the baking dish. Top with half of cream cheese and 3/4 cup raspberries in an even layer. Top with remaining croissants, cream cheese and 3/4 cup raspberries.</li><li>In a large glass measuring cup , whisk your eggs, milk, honey, vanilla and salt. <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-683x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7305" srcset="https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-200x300.jpg 200w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-800x1200.jpg 800w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-1000x1500.jpg 1000w, https://blog.stokesstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/IMG_0156-scaled.jpg 1707w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>
