Sweet, Salty and Spicy Shrimp Recipe

Now that Summer is coming to an end, it’s very important that we take advantage of BBQ season, and get grilling! And what’s better to grill than delectable sweet, salty and spicy shrimp.

Ingredients:

  • 1lb shrimp
  • 1 can of La Costena Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Method:
  1. Devein the shrimp, if it hasn’t been deveined yet.
  2. Pat dry, and salt and pepper the shrimp.
  3. Marinate shrimp in Chipotle Peppers and Maple Syrup for at least 2 hours.
  4. Thread the shrimp through a pick and add it to the barbeque, or add oil to your Remy Olivier BBQ Pan and cook the shrimp!
Ingredients for the minted pea puree:
  •  10-ounce package frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint and dill leaves
  • 1.5 tablespoons cream, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • salt and pepper
Method:
  1. Bring water to a boil in your Remy Olivier Sabayon Dutch Oven and add the frozen peas and the mint and dill leaves. Boil until the leaves are tender
  2. Drain the mixture and add it to a food processor or your Think Kitchen Nitro 12 pc Pro Blender to puree.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve in a spoon from your Alexa Appetizer Set and enjoy!

*Note I like my peas to be extra sweet, so when the mixture is in the the blender, I always add a little honey.
