Spicy Garlic Confit

This recipe will soon become a staple in your kitchen. Whenever you’re looking to add an extra burst of savoury, delicious flavour in your meals, this spicy garlic confit will be your go-to, every time.

Perfectly spreadable, this is amazing on toasted breads or added to sauces or pasta. The best part? It barely takes any time at all!

Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup peeled whole garlic cloves
  • 2 dried chili peppers, optional
  • 1 sprig fresh sage
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper, optional
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil

Preparation:

  1. Add the tomatoes, garlic, peppers, herbs, chili flakes and salt to a dry pan.
  2. Add in the olive oil until it fully covers the ingredients.
  3. Bring the pan up to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Let the ingredients simmer together slowly  for about 50 min-1 hour. Let cool completely before storing.
