
Ingredients
- ½ cup of butter, at room temperature
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- ¼ cup of molasses
- ¼ cup of maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp of cinnamon
- 2 tsp of ground ginger
- 1 tsp of nutmeg
- A pinch of salt
Icing
- 1 egg white
- 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and place the rack in the center. Line a Remy Olivier Diamond Cookie Sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, molasses, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Incorporate the remaining ingredients and mix well to form a pliable dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Using a thinkkitchen wide rolling pin, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut out shapes of your choice and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes, until the edges are slightly golden.
Icing
- Beat together the egg white and powdered sugar. Dip your cookies in this mixture or use a piping bag to decorate them.
